WOMENS BOARD SHORTS : This is a guess, but I think there were 10-15 kids signed into the"Tweeners" age group while we were at sea and maybe half that when wewere in port. They really had fun.There was one "Formal Night". I'm not a formal sort of person and wore abrown suit and tie that night. The remainder of the dinners I wore asport shirt and slacks. My wife wore a dress to formal night and (Ibelieve) a pant suit most of the other dinners. The kids, we had insport shirts and slacks all dinners. I felt we were about average indress for the dinners (overall). There were some guys wearing a tux atthe formal dinner and some shirt & slacks (many sport coats & darksuits). Womens dress ranged from pant suits, mini skirts, to longsequined gowns. Oh yes, it appeared that families with children wereusually given a table to themselves (which probably makes it nice forthose cruising without children). Your travel agent can probably makethat request for you, if you so choose.

WOMENS BOARD SHORTS : I wear womens' padded cycling shorts for my daily bike ride. Womens' shortshave no central seam between the legs in the padding, to avoid chafingsensitive areas. They are difficult to find in any size, and almostimpossible in my current size 24, and are rather expensive. I've got someold rather overstretched ones where the cotton lycra fabric of the shorts iswearing out, and one pair that have worn into several holes, no longerrepairable. However the padding on both pairs is fine and could be used formany years more. So I'm contemplating making my own shorts and salvagingthe padding from the old ones. I can take the better fitting old pair ofshorts apart and reckon I can make a pattern from them and tweak it to fit.Anyone ever made a pair of bike shorts and can offer me some tips? Wherecan I buy nice matt cotton lycra in dark colours, not that bright shinystuff? I've been told that to make the seams properly stretchy they shouldbe overlocked, but I don't have an overlocker and it wouldn't be worthbuying one just for this. Is it possible to sew such stretchy fabricsuccessfully on an ordinary zig-zag machine?
