SWIM SHORTS : Next step: put on everything you intend to wear in the swim,including the wetsuit you currently own. Do some time trials with andwithout the wetsuit. If you like it and are satisfied with its effecton your times, then use it for the race. If not, find a swimming /triathlon specific wetsuit.For the bike ride, the quickest option is wear the same thing you swimin, minus the wetsuit and plus the shoes and helmet. Bottom line: nobaggy clothing, as it will slow you down.For the run, you may choose to change shoes and/or put on anadditional layer of shorts and it doesn't really matter if they'rebaggy running shorts, soccer shorts, etc. I think usually in June water will be almost warm enough not to use wetsuite. (Well still depend on where you will be racing and also how fast youswim.... your race director may have some data about prior year water temp)I generally use wetsuit everytime I felt that it is not going to be too hot.(Save some energy and.. I get cold pretty easily)
