MESH SHORTS : *********************** New email address ** ***********************WELCOME BACK DENNY. FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO DON'T KNOW DENNY, HE IS ASHAMELESS TRAVEL AGENT PROSTITUTE WHO WILL DO ANYTHING TO CONVINCE YOUTO GO TO HEDO SO HE CAN MAKE LOTS OF $.On Monday, 19 May, our fearless contributor "Mr. Obvious" gave us his latest dignified communication:Fortunately, we can safely lump in this latest strident inanity withhis recent comments about Hedo patrons all being sex maniacs andswingers.Once we consider the source of these witless comments, they lose anyeffect they might have had.Like the boy who cried "Wolf", the endless parade of Mr. Obvious'bitter ignorance simply provides a rationale to ignore him, and anincreasingly powerful reason to thank God (or the higher entity of yourchoice) for the fact that none of us has to live his unpleasant littlelife. "Obviously" he believes that banality is its own reward, and every day, strives to achieve new heights in this particular field.Very well said. Bravo!!!!! Let's hope we won't hear anything more fromthis jerk, who in in OBVIOUS need of a real life. What a loser!
MESH SHORTS : Hi. I'm doing a thesis project for my business school and we have to startup a new business venture/project. My group has come up with the idea of"Sock-Its"--an athletic sock that has a pocket to hold small objects(coins, key, earring). This is targetted to the casual athlete who goes tothe gym or for a job wearing mesh shorts that dont have pockets. If anyonehas any help, advice or comments....it would be greatly appreciated....Weneed to follow through on the operations side (subcontracting themanufacture of the sock. and the in-house manufacturing of the pocket), themarketing (advertising, identifying customer base, and target market anddistribution outlets), the finance side (funding, evaulating the business, predicting revenue) and the information systems side (must integrate atleast one information system to utilize). Thank you.-- Wally Gobetz================================== =======================================& quot; You can take a boy out of Brooklyn, but you can never get Brooklyn out ofthe boy." W. T. Ballard, 1942You have a terrific idea! Don't leave it as a project, MAKE IT HAPPEN. Make a few prototypes and get your local college football (basketball, whatever) hero to use it, take some photos, get them to the college newspaper with a story behind your startup. This will generate a base of interest from which you extrapolate potential market and from there the real business plan and action. Ever since I stuffed my wallet between my sock and leg back in the Navy I've been looking for a better solution. You have hit the nail on the head. What an idea! MESH SHORTS : I also think this is a great idea... You should make Kids Sock-Its, aswell! It would be a perfect place for my daughter to put the quarter forher milk at lunch! Older kids could put a key in there (jr. highschoolers are notorious for losing their hoe and/or locker key(s).) I agree with Wayne Lundberg, you should make this idea happen - not justas a school project, either!Best of luck!Sincerely,Julie Frost___________________________________ _________________________________YourHom eBiz.com The eZine that helps you realize your home based business dreams! *Our weekly enewsletter delivered to your email box, filled with**tips and hints for starting and succeeding in home based business* This is clearly a whizzo idea, and you will no doubt get many usefulsuggestions. When you are rich and famous, or even before, perhapsyou could consider a special "mbmm" sock, available only to postershere - possibly with the (english) saying "oh, put a sock in it"embroidered down the side. You could have variations, such as the JGsportster (woven with on a large web press of course), and if you madeone with a large pocket suitable for gang youths, you could call it"Mac the knife" . Of course we would expect a weekly salesanalysis of each variation, but you could only advertise some of themon web! What about the Hawaiian sock; "Sock'em up Brather" French sock: "Sock Cra Bleu" OK, I'll stop while I'm not ahead. -JG]This summer, when I went out on my own as an internet marketingconsultant, I purchased "The Successful Business Plan: Secrets &Strategies" by Rhonda Abrams. I found the book easy to follow, withsome good solid examples, and it really helped me write the businessplan I have used as the framework for my business. Also, the resourcesavailable on the Web are astounding. As far as subcontractingmanufacturers, start making phone calls and find a couple of people inthe business that will be willing to take some time out to talk to youabout how the business functions, and what kind of costs you shouldexpect. Good Luck! I've heard numerous stories from both the Berkelyand Stanford Business Schools of thesis projects that are now successfulbusinesses (HotBot the wired search engine, Bonus Mail, etc) MESH SHORTS : Actually, if one looks at the subject "skimpy attire on normal beach", Ibelieve the original poster was talking about a textile or non-nude beach.I think they were trying to get replies to the effect that what is theminimum acceptable amount of or lack of attire. It seems that this pointhas been lost upon every respondent in this thread. What might be helpful to the originator of this thread would be answersabout your experiences at mainstream beaches other than nude beaches. I canthink of these as good places for those Tan-thru suits. How small a thongis acceptable, small a bikini top, etc...I actually missed the first post of this thread, so I am only responding tothe ones who also responded. If that is the question, here is my response. My wife and I have had several conversations over the years about what youwrote above. Especially about how small or see through the bathing suit canbe at a "normal" or textile beach before we have pushed the boundary toofar. The answer has changed over the years too, as each of us has becomeless willing to compromise on our own comfort just to be willing to conformto society's definition of acceptable dress at the beach. My wife is lesslikely to push the boundaries than I, but then again we are both still verynew to organized naturism and my wife especially is still getting used tothe "lifestyle". I can say that our most uncomfortable day on vacation lastyear was when we went to Anguilla, a British island and my wife and I wereforced to wear more conservative bathing suits for a whole day. My wifequietly bitched the entire day about the soggy suit and sand in the crotchetc. I just laughed because it meant that we had come a long way in such ashort time.
