I recall reading somewhere that one of the sticking points is theunavailability of a broadcast-quality copy. But it occurs to me that the film couldbe re-created, somehow. Clean up the soundtrack, find decent-quality copies of theoriginal serials, perhaps re-film the scenes with Proctor and Bergman...Oh, and another thing. The actual rock music that's in the final _J-Men Forever_ filmis, well, pretty lame-- kind of undercuts the idea that the music is such a threat. Theworkprint soundtrack of the Secret World War uses more recognizable rock music-- someas great as Hendrix's "The Star Spangled Banner," some as awful as Queen's "We WillRock You." It'd be nice if, assuming they do a reconstruct on J-Men, that they get somebetter music to use.
