The trick is to look for a common phrase inthe descriptions which will *not* appear in what you really want, andinclude it in quotes with a minus sign '-' preceding it. Another of my peeves are the vendors who include a list ofhundreds of random object names in the description -- sometimes withoptions so it is black on black or white on white or some otherinvisible setting. I've found that by wondering how a search onsome machine tool item could bring up stuffed plush toys. So, I usedthe "find in page" option from Netscape's "edit" menu, and when thehighlighted area showed up in a blank monochrome space, I startedlooking for tricks to make it show up. DICKIES SHORTS : That is probably why I don't see this problem -- I have thefonts set large because I read from a distance from the screen (to keepthe distance comfortable without glasses.)A quick note to the manufacturer about copyright violation and a pointer to the auction will probably correct this in most cases. If they are smart they'll write the seller and eBay. eBay tends to be more responsive to contact from corporate attorneys.I think there should be an "exclude seller" feature so I can weed out somestuff, but there's an easier way for stuff like this. I no longer search for"lathe" on eBay. I use "lathe -new -how -manual* -run*". That search keeps outthese things.You know, this fellow has had over 17,000 auctions in the last 30 days. That'spushing it. Safer to exclude phrases instead of single words, as in myexample in another followup in this thread. Your search would exclude sellers in New York, or whichmentioned that the lathe was recently refitted with "New Departurebearings". It would also exclude a CNC lathe with an option for manualoperation, as well as something whose description includes "runs good"or something similar.
