I'm not familiar withthe other brands.--Mommy to Craig James, 6-1-01and Gizmo, EDD 8-5-02---------------------I'll try being nicer if you'll try being smarter.--------------------How sad is this - Billabong is the only brand I know from your list. BILLABONG SHORTS : .... or theres the few that will be wearing baggies either way, lycra ornot, so they go with real baggies ;)How the hell does a yankee know about (what used to be anyway) the bestboard shorts made? I got my first pair of Katins about 1978. I stillhave three pair, the last ones bought about 1990.Believe it or not, I haven't always bee a fat-fsck of a lazy slob.Back when I had decent knees I was quite the adrenaline junkie. Youweren't the only one bombing down Mt. Palomar from the observatoryon the fire roads, you know ;-)They were still there when I visited last year (didn't buy anything though.)You'd be surprised at what us swamp-yankees know about. ;-)We DO get around occasionally, y'know.I don't have any problem with cycling shorts because of the padding, but I shy away from clothing that allows people to speculate on myreligious affiliation.-----------------------Pete CresswellMy shorts make it obvious that I'm not Muslim, Pentecostal or Amish. Also, being female, I don't have to worry about the effects oftemperature-related shrinkage or vagrant thoughts becoming apparent. BILLABONG SHORTS : That's surprising to me, since I just finished my third winter in aBillabong 5/4/3 surfing in 40 F water a couple of times per week in Februaryand March. I use the suit from late Nov. through April, probably logging 40sessions per year in that time frame. What's that, 120+ surf session withthe same wetsuit? The wetsuit is holding up amazingly well, just a littlefaded here and there.Either their quality standards have slipped or you got a "lemon." Andthere's no excuse for the shitty note when they returned your wetsuit.Maybe that's it. Billabong is putting all their R & D into shorts andt-shirts now. That's where the money is, right?Surprising. I had a very similar situation. I bought a previous years model 20015/3 zippless, and after the first winter (20 + uses) the seam under one of thearms started splitting. After calling many phone numbers, I finally got a holdof the right person at billabong USA and they had me send it in to a wetsuitrepair shop that fixed it without any hassles.
