ATHLETIC SHORTS : I don't get the reason why you would want to wear baggy shorts while riding a MTB?Maybe cruising around town,but out on the trail? Why? Vanity?Nuts too small to show in public?I don't race so I don't need the aerodynamics. I don't dig on displaying thejunk for all to see. Especially, if I stop in after a ride to get a smoothieor something.Skin tight clothing isn't worn only for aerodynamics or by racers, mostlyit's worn for freedom of movement as it's stretchy and doesn't chafe likebaggies do. I always used to snag my baggy shorts on branches and on thenose of the saddle, very annoying and expensive. It's also warmer in winterand cooler in summer due to it's moisture wicking properties.Sometimes members of the downhill brigade take the micheal out of myshorts/tights/tops but I reckon they wouldn't get away with them becausethey don't have the muscles of an XC rider! Note "rider" not "racer". Thegirls love it too! :O)--Will.(Remove "_hates_spam" from address to reply!)I find 'em a lot more comfortable. Also, the pockets can be real nice, evenwith a camelback.

And if you've got well cut ones, you won't have to worry about 'emsnagging at all.Also, as a former swimmer, I wore "baggies" when not racing because theywere a LOT more comfortable.Oh, to add a horror story, a guy I know (no, really, not me) was biking instretchies, took a bad fall, and ripped 'em all the way up the side on somenice jagged stuff.
